Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of career counseling services across school branches, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Design, conduct and analyze psychological assessments for students from Class VIII to XII, and provide tailored guidance to students and parents during individual sessions.
  • Design and implement social and emotional learning programs focusing on emotional intelligence, stress management and mindfulness.
  • Guide students in career exploration using IQ tests.
  • Assist students in building portfolios, planning for higher education, and identifying pathways that best suit their strengths and interests.
  • Stay updated on industry and education trends to provide relevant, informed guidance.
  • Partner with teachers, parents, and branch counselors to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of students.
  • Coordinate initiatives that promote leadership, civic responsibility, and personal growth in students.
  • Represent the organization at exhibitions, seminars and education fairs, to network and showcase school counseling programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling activities and psychological evaluations.
  • Prepare and submit reports on counseling outcomes and student development progress to management.
  • Ensure that all counseling practices are consistent with ethical standards and school policies.
  • Collaborate with universities to facilitate student admissions, scholarships, and educational and career opportunities, and build strong networks for seamless transition to higher education.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate and secure records of all counseling activities, including psychological assessments, student progress and follow-up, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and institutional policies. Ensure these records are accessible for reporting, decision making and continuous improvement of counseling programs.

Candidate Profile

  • A Master’s degree (MA) in Psychology is required.
  • Certification in Career Counselling (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in counselling with special focus on behavioural and career guidance.
  • Experience in managing counseling programs in various locations would be advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in psychometric instruments and career assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to handle diverse responsibilities ranging from consultation to stakeholder engagement.
  • Flexibility to travel to branches or attend events as needed.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
