Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and Busy for modules such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger and inventory modules.
  • Making accurate and timely sales, purchases, expenses and bank entries.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements including trial balance, profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow, statement and financial ratios.
  • Preparation of weekly bank, cash position and cash budget statements.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements in audit format and co-ordination with auditors. Liaison with auditors for finalisation of accounts.
  • Monthly bank reconciliation statement.
  • Monitoring and controlling debtors and creditors, preparing outstanding lists and reports for management.
  • Reconciliation of receivables and payables with respective statements.
  • All bank related work – like withdrawal, DD, forms, letters, bank guarantee, OD, conversation with bank employee etc.
  • Coordinating with colleagues to ensure smooth accounting operations. Handling correspondence with business customers, suppliers and banks.
  • Generation of accurate and timely MIS reports to enhance the reliability of the finance function.
  • Ensuring Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance i.e. accounting including filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
  • Proficiency in TDS deduction and filing of returns.
  • Developing SOPs and systems for smooth functioning of accounts operations on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly targets, Collection and storage of data – electronic and paper
  • Drafting reports, presentations and other documents as required by officers.
  • Systematically organize and maintain confidential information, files and records.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and prioritize projects.
  • Other duties related to Human Resource Management as required. Will be required to visit factory premises as per job requirement.

Candidate Profile

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Proven experience as Office Accounts Manager/Assistant 2 years.
  • Must have practiced in a CA firm.
  • Worked on Accounting Software – BUSY, Tally.
  • Grades in 10th, 12th, Graduation must be more than 65%.
  • Must have strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Strong proficiency in English – writing, speaking and reading.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Discretion, integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, self-driven and a fast learner.
  • Reliable, proactive and flexible.
  • Tech-savvy and up-to-date with technology and IT.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
